About the project

Preserve First is excited to partner with Mears on the Sustainable Homes Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) project for Thanet District Council, aiming to significantly enhance heating efficiency across approximately 400 properties.

Project Details

This extensive project involves replacing outdated electrical storage heaters with advanced High Heat Retention Storage Heaters, promising greater energy efficiency and improved heat management. Additionally, we are upgrading both peak and off-peak consumer units with state-of-the-art SPDs (Surge Protection Devices), AFDDs (Arc Fault Detection Devices), and RCBOs (Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent protection) to ensure maximum safety and efficiency. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Technologies Involved

  • High Heat Retention Storage Heaters: These advanced heaters offer superior heat retention and distribution.
Modern Electrical Components: SPDs, AFDDs, and RCBOs enhance the safety and functionality of the property’s electrical systems.
